If I recall correctly, I started all these skin care, makeup & fashion info search and relentless shopping activities in my second year in University. And now, whenever I go to a public library's personal grooming section, or open any beauty/fashion magazine, I rarely find any important new skin care knowledge/info new to me. Because, I have almost read them all! My own beauty philosophy is: skin care is more of a science, while makeup & fashion is an art. I told myself from the very beginning, I would only spend $ on scientifically proved skin care products, reputable makeup & worth-investing fashion pieces.

 

But look at the reality:

- I have two wardrobes in my room ( one is a replacement to a recently collapsed one due to overstuffing), and there are still bags of clothing stored aside. Although I only wear a small fraction of them, I am continuously adding more and more pieces to the wardrobes from my weekly "hunting" activities.

 

- There is another part of my room setup as a cosmetics and accessories corner. My current stock is more than sufficient to last me more one year, but in last week alone I paid up another two online cosmetics shopping lists.

 

- My small room is also cluttered with books, notes and magazines. There is little help even though I have moved a lot of textbooks from school days to my office, 'coz my fashion magazines populate like rabbits!

 

After reflecting and penning down all my irrational shopping behaviours and wastefulness, now I am shamed into real action:

 

For the next 3 months, I will only give myself a total of $100 on all these. that is say, I have to survive on a cut from $300-$400 to $33 per month! Yup, the counting down kicks in today, and I will update again. Wish good luck to myself

上午刚考完NTU 的最后一门，哈哈，就算毕业了吗？ hmm.... 成绩还没出，证书还没拿到，毕业典礼还没参加，就不算吧。 心情不错，来贴贴 我的make up step by step。在那些时尚美容论坛也混了很久了，除了presentation, interview 等，还是很少化妆，目前仍然理论多于实践。今天就心血来潮一次，好玩儿，希望大家交流指正啊。

化妆之前先护肤：拍了爽肤水，涂了日霜，把头发梳一下，呵呵，不会再像个疯子了吧。

 

L'oreal True Match Super-blendable Foundation SPF 15

 

开始化妆。

在新加坡这样的天气，液体粉底很合适，尤其是这款，质地轻盈、伏贴、不会浮妆。当然缺点就是没有遮瑕力，不过我只求它能均匀肤色就好。

将液体粉分布均匀的点到脸上，然后用化妆海绵延展均匀。我觉得化妆海绵比手指更能均匀的涂开、可以照顾到角落、不会拉扯皮肤，而且也能吸除多余的粉底，以免过厚。（看，这么多的优点，所以很多化妆师也推荐用海绵来涂粉底呢）

 

 

Paula's Best Face Forward SPF15

 

这是款pressed powder, 不过我不喜欢用粉扑，而是用powder brush 来扫，这样轻轻扫上薄薄的一层就好了，看起来很自然，主要是为了定妆吸油光。用粉扑的话，我觉得有点厚。

眼影最重要了，今天要什么效果呢？hmm.... 就淑女一点滴吧，赫赫。先用大一点的眼影刷将上眼皮打上淡粉的shimmer base。

 

然后用两段式眼影法，再在眼头和眼尾涂上粉红色眼影，中间就不要了，否则亚洲人用粉色可能容易显得眼睛肿的。眼尾可以稍微的延一下，会看起来妩媚高贵点，嘻嘻。下眼就不涂了，否则像得了红眼病 不过，我这个照片照得实在失败，怎么看不出本来的效果呢

 

 

MAC Fluidline

 

这个gel eyeliner 真的要赞，决不会smudge, 用一个eyeliner brush 很容易就上得流畅、均匀。

 

 

YSL Mascara Aquaresistant

 

据说这个是经典的 YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils 的 waterproof version. 我是非waterproof 不买的人，所以就选了这个防水的金管。可能我期望的太多了，有点失望。 说实话，很多别的牌子的都比这个要强。它虽然也能加长加密睫毛，但哪个睫毛膏有不能呢？ 我感到最失望的地方在于，it clumps，flakes and does not hold curls well. And most importantly, as a waterproof mascara, it smudges after 8 hours. It's also messy to remove, even with my Fancl cleansing oil.

最容易的做法莫过于 say "cheeeeese" 了, 淡淡地扫在笑肌上，能泛出健康的颜色就好。

先少许涂上唇膏打底，然后再用唇彩从嘴唇的中间涂起，剩余的带到唇边和嘴角
